New Short Course: Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Business Transformation

In an ever-changing business world subject to countless variants, analytics gives companies the edge in recognizing changing climates so they can take appropriate action to stay competitive. More and more companies are making use of data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), data science as a way of increasing productivity. But what exactly is data analytics, AI and what are the current trends in data science and machine learning? This is a short course to give students, professionals, and business leaders a conceptual framework for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence with hands on labs on Machine Learning programming in R, and Data Visualization in Tableau. It will teach students the basic concepts of Data Analytics, how it is transforming today’s digital world with real world examples and industry practices, and train fundamentals of R programming for Data Science, and data visualization with Tableau. It will have a hands-on Capstone project to learn and validate real world business analytics problem. Students will get a deep understanding of how Big Data and Machine Learning are transforming today’s business world. At the same time, it will provide students hands on understanding to build on few industry standard machine learning use cases using R programming and analytics visualization in Tableau.
